A Digital Signature Certificate, like hand written signature, establishes the identity of the applicant filing the documents through internet. A Digital Signature Certificate is not only a digital equivalent of a hand written signature, it adds extra data electronically to any message or a document where it is used to make it more authentic and more secured. Digital Signature ensures that no tampering of data is done once the document has been digitally signed.


CLASS 2 DSC

Class 2 Digital Signature Certificate is mainly used for e-filing on MCA21 (for ROC) and Income Tax online portals. Other uses include signing a pdf, word or excel file, sign e-mail sent through Outlook etc.

CLASS 3 DSC

Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate can be obtained by Individual User or Authorized Individual on behalf of Organisation or Company. As per Information Technology Act and legal status, Class 3A and Class 3B Digital signature certificates are also issued as Class 3A individual Signing Certificate and Class 3B Organisation Combo Digital Signature Certificate.

DGFT

A DGFT Digital Signature is required to digitally sign any documents in electronic format or for transactions being performed through a web-browser on the DGFT website or portal. It is mainly used by the EXIM (Exporters & Importers) community registered with the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) in India.
